Ipad2 screen repair problem

Hi, just repairing a broken Ipad 2 screen and cut through what looks like the bluetooth cable, to the right of the home button. I've only sliced it off the screws that secure it to the frame does it need to be connected to the frame to work? Or is that just to secure it ? The obvious question is will it still work or does it need to be replaced? See picture. Many thanks
