I don't remember where I got them, but I can email them to you.

Edit: Scratch that, I found them (and a few others as well!)

Downright creepy, but thanks anyway. I will admit to having downloaded them despite my immense fear. They are very well done so I have to at least give them respect for that ;)

where can i find that lost desktop?

Well I found the original image from the Lost website as a background for non-widescreen resolutions. So i photoshopped the edges so they fit my 1440X900 resolution :) Here it is if you wanna use it.

how'd you get that balanced the way it is? and is that really cool-looking [bokeh or background blur or whatever it's called] or just compression artifacts--like around the keyboard and stuff? any chance of posting a full-sized version?

how'd you get that balanced the way it is?

If you fill up a soda can with just enough water (or liquid in general) and carefully position the way it is in that photo, the can will balance out.

If you drink just the right amont of it, the can will balance by its self, i guess it the way its designed or something... all i know is that it works.... I would post the full size but the image is way to big, if u want PM with your email and i'll send it to you:)

This has to be a first for hearing that compression-artifacts are "cool" :p

I switched back to the Apple desktops of "Plants" for work purposes. It looked a lot more professional than my halloween ones :p. I won't waste everyone's bandwidth by posting it, you all have them. Icons remain the same halloween theme, which was actually commented on yesterday during a meeting when I hooked up the PB to a mass-projector for a presentation. Everyone admired OSX and it's beauty, including my pumpkin icons :D

That is a picture by Jon Bohren called "Her Eyes". You can find it on PixelGirlPresents. It is a 1600x1200 picture, which will help you it as you can browse by resolution there.

Just changed mine too, after I found some really nice desktops at Howies. They can be found here (http://www.howies.co.uk/wallpaper.php). 1024 x 768 only I'm afraid! For once, having a 12" screen is an advantage. :D

How did you put spaces in your dock?Sorry about the long wait, been on hols for the week.

I can't remember where I got mine from, but there are these at Version Tracker (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/24675&vid=166180) or these at ClankWerks (http://www.clankwerks.com/dockspacers.shtml).

However you can make your own by creating a folder and then renaming it with spaces and the extension .app, and giving it a (transparent/or your choice of) icon.

Hehe :)

Err.. The spare system's so far been for nothing other than to take up 10GB of my 500GB drive. I kinda liked the idea of having a second bootable OS in case things ever went really pear-shaped. But that's never happened (touch wood).

Off the top of my head, I think it's a 10.3.9 OS X installation. It's definitely Panther.

I occasionally still use the Quicktime Player off that drive (yep, 6.5.3 player works fine with QT7.0.3). For some reason 6.5.3 can playback files using about 30% less CPU horsepower than 7. And that means a lot on a Mac Mini!

It was the neighbors front yard actually. I live in Banff Alberta which is smack dab in the middle of a national park so seeing dear/elk on the streets is pretty common. Heck I saw a deer today when I went out for food.
