what do the numbers me near the avatar...like macrumors 68000 and how many posts does it take to not be a newbie anymore!

The numbers start at 500 posts and above and represent a Mac Processor designation. The largest seen so far is the 68040, and that's jefhatfields. The 68040 was the last processor before the power macs and I'm guessing he's going to go to 601 when he gets to 4000 posts in a couple weeks.
You will be a newbie till you get 30 posts
You will be a member till you get 100 posts
You will be a regular till you get 500 posts
You can be a Demi-God if you contribute, at any time.

Ahh, wisdom you speak. Understand I do. I guess that it helps to read all of the fine print and "Important: Read before posting" posts. :)
