Full SBS to Half SBS

I have a video file in mkv format with resolution 3840x1080 and my 3d bluray player says that the resolution is not supported. If whoever reads this knows a way I could get the file to Half SBS could you please help? I would like to know if its possible to make it 1920x1080 and how/what program I could use to do this. Thanks!
