Hi Folks,

I am using OSx Lion where I have installed xampp for programming. I am looking for a solution to back up my code and mysql data files.

I tried using Get Backup, which works fine with the exception that the mysql data files it copies from Applications/xampp/var/mysql.. are not completely copied. Some data folders inside the mysql folder are locked for access and as such the software does not backs the actually data files inside those folders. Of course I could manually change the permissions which I have and it works. BUT - the issue remains for all new databases I create. I don't want to change folder permissions each time I create a new database.

Is there a way to set the default permissions for all new folders that are created inside the mysql folder so that they dont hamper the backup process? I am ok if the solution comes from either mac os or xampp.

Thanks
