ok so here is the deal..
my mdd 1.25 died... i was doing some test on it with adding fans and ended up frying the mobo... now i can either buy a new mobo or look for a new computer? if i sell the computer it well be with
not fw800
167 bus
no hd..
superdrive
dual 1.25 g4
1 gig ram.(2x512)
burned mobo..
ati 9200 64 or 9000 64
and i have a ati 9800 card 128 with the heat sink removed... so i am looking for either an offer to buy it or an offer to sell me a mobo...
what do you guys think? i was figureing that most of the rig with out the hd can go for $500-600.
ordered a new machine... waiting for it. so my machine is up fro grabs...
edit: no cd's just machine
and airport.

Damn that sucks. X_X
A board is gonna cost you an arm and a leg on eBay.
Your probably better off parting her out and using the money towards a G5.

These machines are kinda a crap shoot when they die. It could be the CPU daughter card or the Logic board, or both.
Your listing says 9200 with 64, so I assume that is a flashed PC card.
The 9000 sounds like the stock ATI card which came in the MDD's. Not sure what 9800 card you have, could be ATI retail Mac or a now broken ATI PC card.
Its too bad these machines seem to be more fragile than the previous Quicksilvers / DA's.
Hope you can regain some of the loss in pieces / parts. Wish you were close to the west coast.. I would be interested in buying the whole thing or several pieces... but shipping is prohibitive.

yeah i think it's the 9000 card... but i bought the retail 9800.. so it is a mac card... i am the one who fried the mobo... every thing else works fine... the reason the card is not in is the fan died to i took it off the fix it when i fried my mobo... :(
yeah i am not into shipping so far out... that is why this is a feeler... oh well..

If you decide to part out, let me know a $$ on the ATI 9000.

Wait a minute!
I am building a FW800 MDD Mac, and I need lots of parts. I have the mainboards, video cards, and so on, but I need those unique parts since I am placing it in a custom case.
Okay, so here is what I need: The front panel board (with the power switch), the front panel cable (from the switch to the mainboard), the speaker, the modem filter board, the cable from the modem to the modem filter board, the airport antenna, and the power supply.
Please let me know. Thank you.

Well, I am still interested in other parts such as the front panel board, the cable to the front panel board, the speaker, and so on.
If anyone has these, please let me know. Thanks.
