Hi there,

I'm looking for statistics on iPad apps. Specifically information about file size breakdown for existing apps. Any idea where I could find this info? I'm not finding a lot of info online...

Also, and connected to this query:

My company has recently produced an app for a client that came in at 550MB! It is basically a catalogue/book that has a lot of graphics (about 150 images at 1024x768 - not retina) but not really a lot of interactivity or other media. The app was developed using Adobe DPS. Is it normal that the final file size is so large?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

D

In itunes, It displays the size of all applications. You can look at comparable apps to yours, and see how large their app is.

A 1024x768 png varies, but assume 1.2 mb * 150 = 180mb. So yeah, 550mb is absurd! Your question should be directed to adobe.
