Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes about to bring a new little Scientologist into the world... any odds on how long they stay together now?

Tom Cruise's fiancée, Katie Holmes, is pregnant with the couple's child, Cruise's spokesperson, Lee Anne DeVette, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Does anyone seriously believe that any child Katie Holmes might bear was actually CONCEIVED by Tom Cruise? Far more likely that she got knocked up in a CoS indoctrination facility through artificial means...

And let's not forget that Cruise's "spokesperson" is actually his sister, and a fellow CoS brainwashee.

"He has his father's eyes..."

I thought Cruise was gay anyway... (who cares).

Best wishes to Katie and the little 'un, at least that's real.

Wow... about 7 months of dating and already expecting. That's way too fast for me.

Does the Hollywood trend of babies as the hottest accessory not worry anyone else? It worried me a bit-- are these mothers having children w/ the right motives in mind? Properly equipped (not just materialistically/ financially, but I mean, psychologically and emotionally) to have successfully raise children?

And aside from that... this trend tends to throw women back into the age-old standard; women being seen merely as a walking womb. Infertile/ 'barren' women are not valued as highly as a fertile woman.

*Shrug* Maybe I'm just looking too deeply into this... :o

Can you imagine how Paris Hilton would try to accessorize her kid. S/he would probally be head to toe embedded with pink rhinestones or something.

That kid is either not Tom's, or they did it artificially, because it sounds like we all know he's shooting blanks.

It'd be funny if the baby looked a bit like her ex-boyfriend. Or what if it was a boy and grew to be taller than 5'6"!! Either way, it's not his. :D

 :D That is funny.

Hey, whatever happened to Katie being a virgin?

That was no longer an issue after she had sex years ago. :p

I used to really like Tom Cruise. Then he became a blathering idiot when he got brainwashed by that Scientology cult. What a shame. What a nut!

He's been a scientologist since the 80's, now he's just outspoken about it.

To speak about the celebrity trend to accesorize with a child...

Just think of all the "Mommy Dearest" type movies we will have to look forward to.

I also agree its a space alien baby, Tom Cruise and Nicole adopted correct? IMO that means either SHE or HE cant and Im betting its him, she looks fertile to me! So it only stands to reason Katie holmes was impregnated by aliens at the CoS clinic.

and, oh... So this is what happens to the site when we don't have any decent rumors/Apple events?

Things are way too slow around here - maybe we need a contest.

I KNOW that a lot of prescription drugs are awful for you. But thank god some of them shut up a few zealots and keep some of them strippers off coke. Well, some... ok a few. Maybe one.

I still haven't seen War of the Worlds because Tom Cruise is in it. He's such a blithering idiot and damn rude too.

I wonder what the story is with this baby that Catholic Holmes swore she would wait for really is all about? Perhaps Cruise has converted her to that odd religion of his?

I guess it makes Kate rather clever, now she has a reason for making Cruise pay her mega bucks when they finally break up, I bet Penelope is kicking herself right now.

To be with Tom, you have to be a Scientologist (prerequisite)
She has been enamoured with him since she was a little girl (still is, sort of)
Ergo, she took the plunge to get what she wanted.

At least that's my take

Woof, Woof – Dawg http://homepage.mac.com/k.j.vinson/pawprint.gifYou've been retconned. Her "childhood infatuation" with Tom Cruise was NEVER documented prior to this year... in previous interviews, she always claimed to have a childhood crush on a different Tom... Tom Hanks.

Of course, Mr. Hanks is a happily married, multiple Oscar winner who is NOT a member of a predatory cult, so she couldn't fulfill her crush on him. Instead, she settled for a twice-divorced, thrice-nominated-but-never-won Oscar nominee who IS a member of a predatory cult.

I have no sympathy for Katie Holmes whatsoever. She's clearly pretty weak-willed if she fell for the CoS line.

Notwithstanding my view of their relationship, it would be bad on various levels if Katie were to experience a period of post-partum depression with a need for drug therapies. We all know that such an event would serve as the catalyst for Tom going off ... like a cruise missile.

Maybe Katie will have the scientology "silent birth" like John Travolta's wife Kelly Preston did. Supposedly no matter what happens in labor she never screamed!!

Now I have never been pregnant but my sister said no effing way that could possibly happen!!! :D

I wish the best for them of course...well uhmmm I think Katie needs help...because after watching Tom Cruise on Oprah...WTF??....tears of laughter for real! So embarrassing for her!! :)

1. What makes you think she isn't happy?
2. You don't think it's possible that she just feels that the CoS is right for her?

According to World of Wonder (http://worldofwonder.net/archives/2005/Oct/07/cruise_control.wow):
The Scientology coven has already begun to hover around their most blessed event, the coming of the Child to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The Child will be a spawn of the actual approved sperm of Cruise, not an adopted "other." And in their excitement, such Hubbard's disciples as John Travolta and his dermatological spokesperson wife Kelly Preston have suggested to the pregnant pair that the Child be given a "silent birth." That entails no music, talking, screaming during delivery, and no prodding, poking, or testing during the first seven days. (We think the church's guidelines allow for cutting the umbilical cord.) To prevent the maniacal exuberance that Cruise has shown of late, we assume he will be manacled, possibly gagged, and placed in a sealed chamber at the Scientology Celebrity Center until the Child is a week old.
So, there's every chance we won't have to worry about Cruise polluting the gene pool for too long then.

I got off the plane after a week in Finland last night (where, shockingly, they don't seem to follow the every move of American celebrities on their local news, preferring to talk instead of... well, I don't know, as I don't speak Finnish... but there were pictures of fish, cows, and trees)... anyway, this is the first news I heard upon leaving the plane. They had CNN on by customs, and they were discussing it (which shows the continuing decline of CNN).

I think it's sad that the two of them, who got together in a vain attempt to promote Batman Begins and WotW, haven't realized yet that there's no more reason to continue trying to gain publicity. ;)

Seriously, though? One more rich, screwed-up kid is on the way.

Remember this is Foolishology, where they aren't allowed to have a natural childbirth with a lot of drugs and screaming -- drugs go bye-bye, and she must be silent.

Alternatively is the moaning birth, with seven days of silence afterwards.

---

And with these two parents, seven days of silence is death.

You'd definitely know.Uh, I'm unhappy a good portion of the time, because I live in the real world. I don't approve of ANY cult (defined, in this case, as: a religious organization where salvation is ONLY obtained by opening your wallet).

If you're a Scientologist, just please let me know right now so that I can add you to my Ignore list.
