I have an external 80gb hard drive or an internal 80gb one. I was thinking probably about $75-$85 shipped for the external and $60 shipped for the internal one.

What size (physical) is the internal drive?

Is it a 2.5in drive? If so, *please* let me know, I would buy it in a heartbeat (almost).

Thanks!

A used internal IDE drive of that size is worth $30 at best, maybe even less if out of warranty. USB2 external enclosures are a dime a dozen, costing less than $20 and unless it is something special like an AMS Venus DS3 or equivalent, I wouldn't pay more than $40-45 for such a drive. Perhaps even less because it is a WD. My humble opinion.

$$ is a bit high ... CompUSA has 160GB FW HD for 120 (100 after rebate).

internals are dirt cheap ... and USB2 is cheaper than FW.

good luck selling; i'd try someone locally first. :)
