Am I the only person that is irritated by this?

Search suggestions in Safari are always google.com and therefore US specific for me, instead of being google.co.uk.

You'd have thought with Apple's attention to detail that someone would have picked up on this by now.

EDIT: Can't seem to post multiple attachments using the mobile site but on Chrome and the Google mobile site typing "national" would give suggestions like national lottery, express etc.

You can change the search option to Bing or Yahoo if that helps.. Clear the search box or the combination search and address box (depending on the OS) and use the magnifying glass to show the options you can select.
Sorry not for iPhone.. Use Settings > Safari > General > Search Engine.

Otherwise try typing UK after your search as I type NZ.. usually works.

Add a link http://www.google.co.uk/ on the bookmarks bar.
or https://plus.google.com/+GoogleUK/

have fun ;)
