After upgrading to Tiger, the new Final Cut Studio, and QT 7, my version of MPEG Streamclip keeps prompting me for the QT MPEG-2 Playback plug-in (QT also doesn't recognize VOB files or other MPEG-2 files). I bought the plug-in for QT 6, but deleted the install volume.

I thought that installing Final Cut Pro automatically installs the plug-in. I can encode to MPEG-2 in Compressor after all. When I go to the Apple site, I can only find the plug-in for QT 6 and when I enter my FCP serial number, I get a message that the page doesn't exist.

Any suggestions? Anyone successfully using MPEG Streamclip after upgrading to QT 7. I'd prefer not to spend $20 again.

My specs: 1.25 Ghz Powerbook with 1.25 GB of RAM, running Tiger, FCP 5 studio, and QT 7. MPEG Streamclip version 1.3.1.
