Yea Apple! To be rechristened, now, as Apple iPod, Inc.

Neither would develop either chip without a market for them.
They have to update them, an ipod is cool, but it doesnt need to be updated. The pb is so outdated and overpriced right nowchucknorris said:Don't kid yourself, PowerBooks WILL be updated tomorrow.

And yeah, I'm probably wrong, but maybe not. 😎

I would love to see the Freescale dual-core in the PowerBook. If they are indeed available and used by Apple it gives them longer to hold out until the intel transition begins to make sure everything goes as planned. Heres to hoping.iGary said:I'm going to go on record for the Freescale dual-core G4 PowerBook and IBM (970 MP) dual-core G5 PM's tomorrow.

haha.. I think the Power Macs will top out at 2.5 while a Freescale G4 would probably be around 1.7 Ghz. I don't remember what they were testing them at.. anyone else know?dmw007 said:Can't you be more optimistic (instead of realistic)? 😉 🙂

Yeah I would love to see an entirely new Power Book. Not that I have any gripe with the current design, it's just that Apple always seems to blow me away whenever they redesign a product.Aaon said:I really hope you are right, iGary. That would be the catalyst I need to buy a Powerbook now, instead of waiting for the Intel models.
Higher resolution would be nice too...
