Boot Camp assistant help

Hey guys,

I was trying to delete a Windows 8 partition to reinstall Windows 7 (as I do not like Windows 8) and half way through the "Remove Windows" on Boot Camp Assistant it came up with an error saying that it failed for some reason. I reopened Boot Camp Assistant and the "Remove partition" had changed back to "Install Windows", however, when I try to install Windows 7, Bootcamp Assistant says that the Hard Drive isn't empty. Is there any way to erase all content on the rest of my Drive that isn't used by my OSX? I'd rather not do a disk format but I do have a backup of all my mac files.

Any help would be much appreciated!

It's not there, it seems to have been deleted but the data is probably still there :s

I though so too, but I have a 750GB hard drive, and if I go to "Get Info" on my Macintosh HD, it says I have 650GB available. So the 100GB I used for my Windows Partition has not been returned to my Mac side. Any idea how to get it back?
