Up until recently, I held LAN parties with Bolo (until my collective hardware was good enough for UT99). A great game for older hardware.

Holy cow, that game is still around? Awesome. :D I can remember many a night playing Bolo in the two Mac labs in college. One team in the downstairs lab, one in the upstairs lab. This was back when it was first being developed, probably around 1993 or so. I remember the first version that supported internet play (as opposed to Appletalk?) - we tried playing against some people from another school and the lag was HORRIBLE!

I see no mention of OS X on that page. Does it run under Classic or something?

WOOHOO! I loved that game!!!

Memories of grade 10, in high school computer science class... we had an entire lab of LC's and LC III's, and many a class would be spent playing Bolo. Sometimes even the teacher joined in! :eek:

Yes it does work on OS X but in classic mode. Look at the screenshot closley.

Ahh, the old days... remember playing Bolo on my parents' Macintosh II fx and LC II..

Should really start a lan party and invite friends to play some good 'ol bolo again...

I played two-color Bolo on an Apple //e. This new-fangled fancy-pants version confuses me. Anyone know where to get the ancient 198x version?
