Messages Won't Open At All On Mac

I downloaded Mountain Lion last night and at first everything was going smooth. I was able to use the Message application last night and it was working well; went to open up Messages again today and when it opened, but would not allow me to start a message, to someone it was working with the night prior. I turned off the computer for several hours, when I powered it back up and it wouldn't open, just this message pops up:

Then I hit quit, and when I go to open it up again the same thing happens. Any suggestions??

Reboot and that should go away. I had that error pop up on Monday, rebooted my Mac and all was fine after.

I had the same error message a few days ago. Didn't have to reboot, it started working on its own.

Now, it's a different story.
I click on the Messages icon, it bounces one time but doesn't open.
The app isn't running at all.

You should use Disk Utility to check/repair the disk, and repair the permissions.

Then restart the Mac, login to your account, and launch Messages.

If it still does not work, login to another account, see if it works there.

If not, open Console (Applications / Utilities) and post here a copy of the log file.
