I have heard alot about the rts game Stronghold and I was wondering if it is any good? I'm a big RTS fan as any of war3 buddies will tell you.
Please let me know about your experience!!

Best. Game. Ever.

If you like rts/gather resources, build city, defend city-type games you can't go wrong.

There's nothing else like building your own castle and defending against raiders.

What Baldur's Gate did for D&D, Stronghold does for planning and building snow forts.

Sorry, I'm gushing. It's a great game. I'll stop now.

Being the ignorant RTS semi-player that I am, how do you think Stronghold compares to WarCraft III, it being the genre's "forte".

I'm sure it has similar aspects, but is more realistic in terms of history. Of course it is alot less video memory hungry which is good for poor old me and my 16mb vid card.

Stronhold and Warcraft III are different games. Not quite apples and oranges, more like apples and pears. Think Age of Empires, centered around a castle.
