Excuse the dumb questions here. But, if you buy a video for 1.99, do you also get the song. Meaning, can you play the song without playing the video. (to basically save battery life.) Or, do you have to purchase the song separately too?

You don't get the song as a seperate music file. However, you can use a program like Audio Hijack to record an audio file while the video plays, and then drop that into your itunes library.
