Angry birds creator Rovio is pairing up with DreamWorks to release an iOS game (http://www.rovio.com/theCroods) based on DreamWorks' upcoming animated movie, The Croods. The movie, which will be released in theaters on March 22, stars a caveman family.

Based on Rovio's description (http://www.rovio.com/en/news/press-releases/274/rovio-and-dreamworks-animation-make-prehistory-and-bring-the-croods-to-your-fingertips-on-march-14th/), the game version of the movie sounds like a cross between a Farmville-style village simulation and Pokemon.

... Rovio is now in the same market as Zynga, now? It sounds and looks horrid.

... Rovio is now in the same market as Zynga, now? It sounds and looks horrid.

... And we know how that worked out for Zynga.

I agree, this looks atrocious. Rovio is starting to look like a one-trick ... Uh, bird.

A cross between Farmville and Pokemon, eh? Why don't they just cut to the chase and say it's a remake of Monster Quest by Gree? How's Gree doing, BTW? Oh! Forget I asked.

Should'a stopped with the first one, Rovio ;) Would've been known as the company whose only game was a smash-hit...

...Although Bad Piggies is pretty fun, actually :D

They made a whole movie based on making fun of Cro-Magnons?

Those poor ancestors of ours battled megafauna and frostbite in the harshest of conditions. We Homo-Sapiens deserve to treat our fore-bearers with reverence not derision.
