hi folks,
i got a fifteen inch retina that came with 10.7 lion. i decided i want to buy mountain lion and do a clean install of it. is there another way to do a clean install of mountain lion on my mac through a clean reformat, but without going through the internet recovery of lion and then upgrading it to mountain lion?
or is this the only option is to do a clean install of mountain lion is through an upgrade of lion.

also is there a way to change the internet recovery so that when i reformat, i can restore mountain lion instead.

thanks folks.

Do you have an Extra USB thumb drive handy ?

I installed this very simple Lion DiskMaker onto my system, than I purchased and downloaded Mountain Lion from Apple to the desktop without opening it, than I would launch (clicked) DiskMaker, which will find Mountain Lion, and it will burn it to your USB 8GB or better thumb drive. It will give you the option not having to go through the internet download ordeal if you need to reinstall it again, saving a good amount of time.

Hope this helps for you
