Connet a PC to PB monitor?

Hi, I am thinkng to have a mac and a PC at the meantime. Originally I was thinking to connect both to a monitor by a KVM switch. Now, I suddenly come up with another idea, does here anyone know if I can use any kinda tool connect a PC to a PB monitor and switch between the PC and the PB?
 
In theory, you can use VNC to control a 'headless' PC from a Mac over a network, but the performance is so bad it's not worth trying.
