problem with opening a .mov file

I started recording a dj set with my powerbook and simutaneously i was projecting some visuals on a screen.After some hours of recording my powerbook crashed. The problem now is that i have the recorded files but i cant open them.I tried almost every app (windows,mac).Does anyone now a way to open the files.Quicktime says (error 2048)

You probably can't. The file has to be "closed" at the end, and if it missed that you may be out of luck.

You might try opening it with a video editor of some kind, if you haven't already.
