Hi!

(sorry for the wall of text)

For the last couple of months i have had alot if weird problems with my 2008 (non unibody), i have had pretty ok network performance:

But that mostly only works for the first 10 minutes from rebooting, then the RSSI is the same, but then the "transfer rate" (or transfer speed, transmission rate, dont know what it actually says in the english version) goes down to between 1-5 and MCS-index is 0, i get timed out of all my AFP and SMB shares, and it appears as the network service crashes or something:

The Wi-FI symbol in the menubar says that the Wi-FI is turned on, in network preferences it says it is turned off, if i then klick on the menubar icon and turn it off from there, the icon changes and if i try to turn Wi-FI on again it won't, the only "fix" is rebooting again.

Sometimes i manage to keep a longer connection, but only if i dont touch the computer after i rebooted, well if i hurry into my network share and start a movie, and thereafter dont touch the computer at all, i manage to keep the connection for the whole movie, if i touch the computer physically, the connection drops instantly, like if i have it in my lap and then put it down on the table, boom the connection is dropped/crashed and i have to reboot.

If it is on the table and i only write some text with the keyboard, sometimes it keeps the connection for up to 20 minutes before it crashes again.

To me it sounds like a hardware problem, maybe the network card is on its last legs, but since the behavior of the Wi-Fi icon and the impossibility of turning Wi-FI on again after turning it off, i cant rule out a software problem either.

Any ideas?
