Since most RSS apps I've seen use Google Reader to sync, what's gonna happen to them now that Google is dumping it?

Is there another service like it out there?

Or should we give up on RSS and just use Twitter?

I'd like to see a sort of specialized RSS just for forums like Macrumors; it seems like that's what I use a newsreader for most these days.

I have that, and they have a feature where you can save your Reader feeds to Flipboard's own site. But although I like the app for some things, for mostly text-based RSS feeds it's unwieldy, unless there's a way to just make a list of feeds rather than the default layout.

Digg has announced that they are going to provide an option to replace google reader. I would imagine that we will see some different options to replicate the google reader function and use many of the same apps we do now. I am going to sit tight and wait to see what is announced as we have until July 1st.
