Civilization III

i want to buy Civilization III but i was just wondering, is it one of those games where its a PC disc and a Mac disc..or is it like warcraft which is on 1 whole disc?

I have the Civilization OSX version and yes you do need the disc to play the game

I think the Civilization cd is mac only. Have not tried it in a pc though. If you play through OSX, make sure you turn of Quartz otherwise its terribly slow to play.

Yeah, i almost stopped playing Civ because it was painfully slow, i couldn't even access my advisors without waiting for like 3 minutes... Downloading the latest patch as well as turning off Quartz did the trick, the font isn't nearly as pretty but it's very responsive now. And yes, Play the World (the online version) is out for X i think...

you don't have to have the CD in to play btw...i lost mine a long time ago and haven't needed it...yay for culture!

Mac multiplayer comming soon! (as of 1-2-03)
