If we read any more disturbing reports like this (http://www.theregister.com/2005/10/20/intel_pax_bench/), it doesn't bode well for Apple. Let's hope this is a "transition" (stopgap) solution for Intel while they work on changing their designs over to lower-power versions...though even if that's the case, it's an ugly harbinger. Are things still as rosy as Jobs made them seem? Or is Intel having problems retooling their chip designs? Let's not forget the hype from IBM (and Intel and AMD) with 90 nm designs, and we know how that worked out.

Makes you wonder why apple would switch from the Power series to intel when their current chips perform very well and with their current products they have a rising market share???

These are Intel server chips which aren't going to find their way into notebooks, desktops or iMac's.

Thank God for that. At least the Pentium M is a promising chip.
