Hey guys I've gone back and forth between a rMBP and a MBA (either way I'm waiting for the next iteration of both) and I wondering what you think the chances of the next MBA are of it having a 1080p screen. If this is the case it would be really great because I want a higher resolution screen, but I don't need/want the retina and all the software problems and cost associated with it. Also in theory it makes sense that they would do this for many reasons:
1) Much cheaper than retina screens
2) More competitive in the Ultrabook market
3) Maintain a good battery life.
4) Satisfy those (like me) who want a higher resolution screen
Anyway I was just curious what you guys thought, thanks again.

No chance because 1920x1080 is 16:9. Apple uses 16:10 for all MacBooks except 11" Air.

I don't think that will happen. There probably won't be a resolution increase until they go retina (2560x1600) because otherwise it would just make the UI and text a lot smaller.

That's probably at least a year away though.

Right now the answer for those who want a higher resolution screen is obviously the 13" rMBP. It is heavier than the 13" Air but not by a huge amount.
