Tempting, but I've almost decided on the AirPlay^2 (http://xtrememac.com/audio/airplay2.shtml) from XtremeMac. It's as thin as the nano, adds a bit of length tho, but includes the dock connector on the bottom. Any suggestions?

Why don't they make it in white as well I think it spoils the look of the ipod otherwise. The actual device looks very nice though however I have no need for it.

guess they couldn't make one small enough to just fit the top like the other ones. looks alright though.

that actualy looks pretty slick, ad's a bit of bulk sure but the position of the thumb wheel looks pretty decent.

They might be able to but since Apple removed the remote port there is no way to power the device from the top so it has to connect to the dock port for power. Same is true for the new 5G iPods which is why the new FM trans. for it attach to the dock port.

That's VERY cool.

It uses the iPod's own screen. Is this a new accessory capability that Apple has introduced with the latest generation?

Very nice iTrip, but I think anyone who is serious about listening to their iPod in the car should think seriously about getting aux audio input installed.

But what would you attach it to? Aside from the hold switch, there's nothing on the top edge anymore. The dock connector and headphone jack are both on the bottom.

My initial thought is don't buy this one. I bought the original iTrip and it was horrible. I could never find a clear unused signal. They may have improved the technology but I have heard of much better products designed to do the same thing. Unfortunately I gave up after the itrip. I will break down eventually and by a car stereo that has a direct input. And a new iPod for that matter since the 1G has no dock connector.

That is amazing as I thought Apple locked this ability out - it must be a new feature of the new iPods.
