Does Businessweek make a habit of taking apart electronic products and publishing the cost of the parts. Or is this something unique to Apple. Sometimes I think, once a company becomes really successful, there are people and firms whose main job seems to be trying to shooting the successful companies down.

iSuppli do lots of teardowns, but most of their press releases are on the Apple reports because the press will run with anything that says Apple on it.
