Hey everyone. Most of the macs in the company I work for are running 10.6.8 and 10.7.5. We have a couple of 10.8 machines, but only one of them regularly accessed InDesign and Quark files on a Windows server.

Everyone that logs into this mac is having the same issue (they are all standard users). If they create a job in InDesign or Quark... or even create a PDF in Acrobat and they try to save it out to the Windows server somewhere (Server 2003 or 2008 R2, makes no difference) they get an error that they do not have permissions. When the server is mounted on the mac, we have tried mounting with both AFP and SMB.

However, if they save the file to their desktop and then navigate to that same folder thats on the Windows server in finder, they can copy the file from their desktop to the server. So the read/write permissions are fine on the server. Regardless, I triple verified those permissions and propagated them on the Windows server.

Have anyone else ran into anything off the wall like this? Any ideas as to what it could be and how to fix it?

Anyone? We have contacted both Microsoft and Apple for support. The only thing they will do is blame the issue on each other.
