Just got my PB YEEAAAH, battery?

Just got my 15" PB. Sweet machine. My first mac, so im looking forward to a good experience.

What about the battery and first time charging. I just plugged in the power cable, can I start the PB or do I have to wait till it's fully charged?
 
Leave it unplugged until the PB goes to sleep.

Then plug it in and let it charge to full. This is called calibrating.

Wash, rinse repeat about once a month if you leave it plugged in all the time.

You can use it, that's fine. Once it's charged you should unplug it and wait until it completely runs out of battery before plugging it back in again. It'll give you a warning that it's about to start using reserve power about five minutes before it falls asleep. It's important to not plug it in before that though. Throughout all of this you can use it though. 🙂

iGary, I think you're meant to charge it first, then run it from the battery.
 
Congratulations on the new Power Book. I would do what everyone else said to do about the battery and charging it.
