To my knowledge there is no version of Backtrack that works on PowerPC, which is a big bummer. If it does exist were can I download it? OR is there a better alternative?

Nah it's x86 only.

You can use nmap/Zenmap for network mapping on PPC.

For wireless stuff, you can run aircrack-ng on PPC Macs, although not airodump-ng or aireplay-ng or any of those other components. You can use kismet to capture 802.11 packets in promiscuous mode with some certain Airport chipsets, although I've only ever used kismet on Intel Macs so I don't know if it works on PPC. Apart from that Kismac works with a nice GUI for wireless stuff and can do packet injection with some original Airport cards and quite a few USB ones.
