Is there a place where people from MR get together to play MOH online? Just curious, because I would like to play with some people I know-er, sort of know, er am acqainted with. Well, you get the picture...

Gus

I'm thinking of picking up MOH after playing it at a friends house. Don't know how good I'll be though. I used to play Myth I and II a lot though and I was pretty good at it. Is the online stuff anything like that?

Duke, you should take it up, it's GREAT! If you get it, pm me and we'll meet and play a game or two (get gameranger). I can't comment on Myth, the one i played was that puzzle game on my LC475 running at 25 mhz.

Ha, you're thinking of Myst - not Myth. Myth was a 3rd person, realtime game made by Bungie. It was fantastic, you could have a small army and fight it out with other players online - upto 16 players in one game. I really liked it and they had an add on that instead of the original characters (dwarves throwing moltov cocktails, highlanders with claymores and scores of undead) you had G.I.s and tanks. Great stuff.

My bad, I was 6 at the time. I have heard several people talk about Myth, can you still buy it? MoH:AA is similar online except I think you have 32 people or maybe 64. I can't wait for Halo, drving vehicles with mounted guns, you buddies shooting in the back and then the driver gets sniped lol. Can't wait.....

I'm not old, I'm 37 (actually I can't even use that quote anymore :( )
I'll probably get MOH in the next month or so.

Don't worry, duke - you're in good company...
...I'm 32.
I am usually on Gameranger, playing such greats as:
Alien Vs Predator
Alien Vs Predator Demo
F/A-18 Korea 1.1 & 1.2
Medal Of Honor
Soldier Of Fortune II
STV:Elite Force
Unfortunately, MoH:AA and SoFII are virtually unplayable on a 56k connection (which is what I've got for now).
Anyway, I'm just about to invest in a nice ADSL connection, so my gaming experience should be improved dramatically.
So, I might see you out there - my handle is "kiwi"...

**thread bumpage** ;)
I just got MoH:AA and it is playable at really, really, low settings on my slot-loading iMac. I was wondering if anyone on Macrumors wanted to get together on the weekend of April 12th and have a small tourny over Gameranger. Maybe, 1PM Eastern? I know some MR have had Starcraft grudge matches in the past.
If only we could solve all the political debates through virtual carnage. ;) :D

wow, resurrection after 3 1/2 months, nice.
I haven't played MOH in a while, but I also heard that the expansion pac is now available for macs. Anyone have it yet?

Hehehe, I can control a t1 server in Chicago, we could have a tourny this weekend. You see it on gameranger it's the [TGD] server. It's a dedicated old g3.

The weekend of April 12th-13th would work best for me. Sometime around 12~1PM Eastern, 1~2PM Central time.
I'm going to have such bad FPS with my measly 8MB VRAM and paltry 400Mhz. ;) :p

I've just started playing the multiplayer version online just from the demo (Spearhead demo disk in the Sep issue of MacAddict). Lots of fun. You can see me getting blown up and shot as Dead Meat.

On the subject of MOH, does anyone know anything about aimbots, i.e. are they real? I've always played honestly -both MOH & Spearhead- but I've heard a lot of people talking about cheating...
