I sold my iPad 3 back in Jan. to get my Mini and found I just wasn't using my Nexus 7 as much anymore as the screen size is just too small. I love the Mini and feel using the Mini for web browsing is stellar. I had many apps and magazines with google so I decided instead of just jumping ship from the Nexus, to upgrade to the Nexus 10!!!

Does anyone else here have a Nexus 10? Thoughts? I'll be getting mine hopefully by Thursday this week.

I had a nexus 10 and loved it. I ended up keeping the 7 as I liked the small size but if I didn't already have the 7 I would have kept the 10. The nexus 10 is noticeably faster than the 7. Extremely smooth as well. Didn't have the occasional stutter like the 7 occasionally has.

That's cool as with my Nexus if I got within a gig left it would slow down and get leggy. I sprung for the 32 gb Nex10 as I was constantly near my limit in the 16 gb Nex7.

The internal storage on true nexus 10 is the fastest on any mobile device at the moment. Over 100MB/s read speed. Twice as fast as the nearest other device and about 4-5 timeas faster than the nexus 7s storage.

Browsed a write-up on the web about the Nexus 10 recently and it being made by Samsung instead or Asus. It was only one reviewers opinion but that seemed to be cause of concern.

Search this forum for Nexus 10, I know someone said they returned the Nexus 10 and listed why and a discussion developed. I enjoyed reading that whole thread.

I have a Nexus 7, I got a 4th gen ipad afterwards. No thoughts at all for me to get the N10, I'll stick with the N7.

I bought a Nexus 10 for my GF when it came out. It is a very nice tablet and the back feels awesome. The only gripe I had with it was the fact that Chrome (Which is the default browser on Nexus devices) was extremely slow when scrolling. They hadn't updated it for the increased resolution. About 2-3 months after launch they updated it and I honestly have zero gripes on it now. Solid device.

I have and use one. Honestly I'm not too impressed. Screen is very nice but I feel like there are too many hiccups. I LOVED my Xoom so I figured the N10 would be an upgrade. While I still prefer it over my iPad 3 I'm think about selling it and the iPad and getting an iPad 4.

Nexus 10 looks amazing but I hate the landscape form factor so, so much.

On a 10 inch it makes sense. The soft keys don't take up nearly as much real estate on the 10 inch tablets as on the nexus 7.

I'm not saying it doesn't make sense. I just don't like it.

I see your point as I liked using my iPad 3 in portrait quite often. I can't imagine using the Nexus 10 in portrait other than for books and magazines.

I'm excited about using it for web and Hulu/Netflix in landscape though!

I just put my Nexus 10 on Craigslist. I loved it but I think it was just a holiday romance. I'm a huge Android supporter but I don't think Samsung did a very good job building the tablet.

Fit and finish is fine to great. But apps are flaky, things that run perfectly on my Xoom are hit and miss on my N10. I can make the tablet overheat by streaming Netflix and using HDMI out for over an hour. No good way way to wirelessly mirror. For some reason it hasn't gotten the app store update even though my Xoom has (whaaaa?), battery life isn't that good and it takes way to long to charge, Etc etc...

I need to reboot it all the time!! But check this out from my Xoom.

183 day up time!

My iPad 3 isn't that great and is seriously lacking in some aspects but the things it can do it does them well and I like that. The Nexus 10 has pushed me toward a total Apple ecosystem, tablet, phone and computer. And to be honest the combination does more then I need it too.

Well I've had my new Nexus 10 for 4 days now and have to say I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how much I like this thing!

It feels light and thin and I like the rubberdized plastic that doesn't scream Samsung cheap like their phones or the Note 8/10 do to me.

I did a battery drain starting Sunday and normally using the tablet until it petered out last night. Total screen on time was 9hrs 38mins and total battery time was 18 hrs between charge to dead. That's not bad from the horror stories of 5/6 hour of use time I had heard.

What I like the most so far over the 7 is how zippy everything feels. Where I remember apps or use stuttering on the 7 I find the 10 handles most if not all tasks I've thrown at it with ease.

Anyway, this is not a review, just my impressions so far and I am just happy with the tab!

I've had it since November. Since the last update I haven't had any reboots or freezes, so now it's way better.

The only think I don't like about the tablet is the aspect ratio. I much prefer the 4:3, like the iPad. It's way better for browsing and reading.

The real problem is I can't change it because there's really no other good choice out there. I can't go back to the iPad because I can't do 50% there is what I can do now. I simply love android. I can do everything I want, just like in a pc or mac. I need a file browser, easy transfers between devices, upload and download anything from dropbox and my NAS, etc.

So I'm stuck with this aspect ratio I really dislike. I wish there was a 4:3 nexus. Archos has one similar to the iPad, but I feel it would be stupid to change a nexus device for that.

16:9 on the Nexus10 was initally an issue for me too, but I've accepted it as it looks. I use Kindle, read pdfs and comics in Portrait, pretty much anything else is in Landscape.

The portrait mode really isn't bad for the content I use it for. Most "real" comic books are tall and skinny anyway, so the aspect ratio is perfect as they are beautifully fullscreen, not cropped!

I still don't like when I set up my widgets in landscape then try and switch it portrait on the home screens they get all jacked up. So I've put rotation lock onto landscape for the home screens.
