Google Down?

Has anyone else noticed that Google went down? I was able to do everything else possible on the internet, but Google just wouldn't come up for about twenty minutes. :eek: It's hard to believe that with the hundreds of servers/clusters/whatever craziness google has behind it that something could completely take it out. Maybe it was just for the east coast. :rolleyes:

If you're still having an issue, try PINGing www.google.com and let us know what address that returns... you could be experiencing a DNS issue. (Google right now is 72.14.207.99 for me.)

I myself cannot access www.iskin.com right now... I'm being taken to a different web site with a virtually identical IP address...

Works fine now...but it was out from 11:45-12:00 eastern, thinking about it I'd guess it was some localized DNS problems, but I was secretly hoping that it was some leet-hax0r who took down the monolith that is google. :p

Server down on Gmail happens once in a while but for 20 dead minutes? Hard to believe for something like Google. :rolleyes:

Mine was down in Santa Barbara as well, and Gmail didn't connect for awhile either. Afterward, it was just going insanely slow...I just thought it was my bad internet connection though.

Yeah, so I basically stopped receiving mail in my gmail inbox until like 4 hours after it's been sent.. and even worse, my work email only gets out to half the recipients. I find myself resend things constantly, it really makes me look unprofessional... :rolleyes:

Odd. Google has not yet let me down. Mail.app used to report that pop.mail.com would refuse my password, but that's been resolved and I'm pretty happy with their services. Google is my searcg engine of choice, being it's embedded in the top right of every Safari window.

Google was super slow and unstable again for me earlier...it was loading but maybe half the time and it'd have several seconds response time...unforgivable! :p
