LaserWriter ll in mac os x 10.2

Hi,

I've got this old LaserWriter ll printer on my g3.
It works fine in os.8.5 but when i installed mac os 10.2
on it, I dont get the printer to work.. Does anybody have any
idea on how i can get it to work?? Im in deep **** if I dont..

Have you tried opening the app "Print Center" found here:

Macintosh HD
Applications
Utilities
Print Center

and trying to add printer on whatever type of connection you are using?
 
yeah...

One thing, i heard someone talk about postscript 1, and that it dosn't work in os 10.2 or something.. If so, is my printer a postscript 1???

As with all SCSI devices, just fiddle with the daisy chain and terminator. The LaserWriter II was particularly sensetive to termination issues.

Definitely listen to GeeYouEye... rarely even close to wrong... You know it can work with your computer since it has before, and I've seen your printer work on newer machines with 10.2.

well, im fearly new with mac, especially mac os x.
Is there any easier way to explain what im supposed to do?? 😀
 
Don't worry about the Postscript.

I have a LaserWriter (the first version), and it works fine with Mac OS 10.2.

Because the Laserwriter doesn't have Ethernet, it is connected with Appletalk (serial) to a Supermac clone running 8.1, with the LaserWriter Bridge control panel. Like a chom it voiks!
