S4 a "dunkelhandy" ?

The german chip.de tested the SamsungS4 and found the display very dark (320 cd/m²) and therefore unusable in day-light (or may be for longer reading) ?
Is it a "dunkelhandy" in day to day use or is it better than measured?
The iPhone 5 in comparison was measured 586 cd/m².

Is it possible there are variations of screen used, much like chipset, therefore there could be two or three different screen displays with varying degrees of brightness.

We won't know until folks get their hands on them and post over in XDA
