Hey all,

I recently converted my friend to a Mac, and then convinced him that the MX3100 wouldn't be any different than windows (since it said only compatible with Windows), in that you could map the keys to whatever you would like.

The problem is that Logitech Control center doesnt recognize anything -- and all the extra buttons and whatnot are now useless....

Are there any programs out there that will record and actually put these buttons to use?

I feel so stupid and should have looked things up before i talked :(

Ooops, fixed my own problem. In future reference if anybody searches MX3100 here, then they should check out "USB Overdrive", works perfectly.

Hi,
can you tell me, how you solved the problem, with the missing eject button, I think it isn't available at the Logitech keyboard, isn't it? Or is it possible to bind the eject button to any key at the Logitech keyboard?

My sister has a mx3100 set and just got a mac mini. I can't seem to get the extra buttons to work. I've tried the logitech control center it didn't find the keyboard or mouse. USB overdrived didn't find anything either. I'm not sure what to do.

So did it work? I'm interested to see how well it actually works. Apparently it's pretty good.

I used to use USB Overdrive. But its development has slowed over the past year.

I just got Steer Mouse. Seems to work well. Simple to use. Recognized my Logitech bluetooth MX900. Works with Intel Macs too.

Check it out: http://plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/index.html

It allows me to map some of the mice keys, but not the keyboard keys.
