I live in Cardiff, about 2 hours away from my parents address in Oxford.

I have a time machine backup at each address, for obvious reasons.

Problem: when away from either one for more than a few days, I get this bloody annoying notification reminding me of that fact, daily.

Any fixes, apart from removing the backup drive from System Preferences (as I'll forget to re-enable when back home).

Many thanks.

A quick google search revealed this:

If I had more time I'd dig around further, but this does look promising. Hope it helps!

Damn....got the same notification today...

Doesn't make sense. Why create multiple backup possibilities in 10.8 and assume people are constantly in range of both backup drives? There must be another way....

Seems I'm not alone and there isn't a solution: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/69036/how-to-disable-or-delay-time-machine-hasnt-backed-up-your-computer-in-x-days

Damn......

Dang, sorry about that! I have a feeling it's in some .plist file or something somewhere, but I'd have to poke around...

I know how you feel since I use two drives as well, but I only use my Mac as a desktop so it's never far from the drives...

Seems silly for apple to omit the option. Oh well.
