Hi,
In Windows's Resource Monitor for example, you can see all disk activity in detailed, by software, file path, read/write speed and sort by that.

I found few apps for mac like istat and menumeters but from screen-shots it looks like they only show stats (total activity) and not detailed info as in Windows.

For example:

fs_usage without pipes (dunno what can help) is too fast and really not organized.

What are you trying to achieve? i.e. what's your high-level objective?
e.g. Are you trying to track down some process that's causing excessive disk writes?
