Is there a command in Unix that can shutdown computers externally? Like the command "shutdown -i" on the cmd in Windows.

Probably the wrong topic but im new so if possible tell me where to post this.

The command is 'shutdown'.
http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man8/shutdown.8.html

You may also need to read the man page for the 'sudo' command.
