I knew this would happen, just ordered a 16gb yesterday to be shipped to the store since they were out. When I go back to pick it up which will most likely be after the 10th, I'll see if they have the 32gb on hand instead and just pay the difference.

Will Best Buy most likely have it in store this friday as well?

I am thinking of purchasing the HTC One and testing it out until the 32GB S4 is in stores on Friday. I understand there is a $35 restock fee. Is this a bad idea?

buy the One at a place, where there is no restocking fee, such as Walmart, Best Buy, etc

Are you sure that is possible? Do they have the same 14 day return policy? Also, how do I know BB will have the 32GB Samsung in stock?

I got my phone from target they have a 30 day return policy but you have 14 days to reclaim your upgrade with ATT. No restocking fee either.

Target has the HTC One there. They have all the carriers I believe there.

yes, it is possible. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Returns-Refunds/Return-%26-Exchange-Policy/pcmcat260800050014.c?id=pcmcat260800050014

14 days return policy here at BB. No restocking fee anywhere.

Even if they don't, return the phone and go buy it at the AT&T store. I'm sure they'll carry it though.

Who activates the phone? I want to make sure I still get my unlimited data plan. Sorry for all questions!

In this case, Best Buy would activate the phone. They let you keep the unlimited plan :D

Awesome. I will be sure to stop there. I checked on Target.com and HTC One is not sold in stores, at least that is what it says.

It won't be listed at Target.com. These are Kiosks ran by radio shack parent company nextworth. My wife held the phone in her hand there. She is probably going to pick it up there next month.

I don't want to sound like a douchebag but how many times and in how many ways do you want that question answered?

Android noob question here -

I'll be swapping out my 16GB S4 for the 32GB version ASAP. My question - how do I backup my current S4 and eventually restore?

I hope this is true and that they are available in store. I was going to head to the ATT store on Wednesday, but if the 32GB's are coming this week then I can wait a couple days.

Check out the app Helium on the Play Store. It should do what you're looking for.

If you ever root, Titanium Backup is what you'll want. But you don't have to be rooted to use Helium.

Helium looks good but only backs up to the phone and not to SD card or PC (?!?)

I bought an S4 at AT&T the other day. I'd pay the $50 to up to 32GB, but not worth $50 +#35 restocking fee. :p

It should back up and restore to either your SD or to your PC if you wanted to do that.

From the Play Store listing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup

Helium Setup
1. Install Helium on Android
a) Root user? You're done!
2. Install and run Helium Desktop (link below)
3. Connect Android to computer.
a) You may need to set your USB Connection Mode to "PTP". (Nexus 7, Nexus 10, etc)
4. Helium on Android should now be enabled.

Helium (Free) features:

Backup and restore to SD card
Backup and restore from PC

Helium (Premium) features:

No ads
Automatic Backup schedules
Android to Android sync
Cloud backup and restore
* Dropbox
* Box
* Google Drive

Do you think these will be available in store on Friday? I don't want to order online, but Friday is kind of the only free time I have for a while so I'd like to stop in and get this squared away.
