Found the fix:

When you run repair utility (CMD-R) you need to fix the permissions/ACL from Terminal; not with disk utility. When you run Terminal from the menubar there is an option in the lower right corner to repair permissions. Once I did that Spotlight started working normally again.

Anyone experiences (and fixed) this:

Restart OS X, Spotlight immediately starts indexing and works normally. Once it stops indexing all it returns are dictionary entries.

I've tried a variety of sudo commands to delete indexes, force reindexing, etc. with no luck. Trying to remove my SSD from indexing via System Preferences yields various errors, Such as Privacy Error, and I cannot select it not to be indexed and then remove it from the privacy list.

Before I go the Reinstall route has anyone gone through this and has a fix? Nothing I've found via searches works.
