It's like one of those bendy pencils they always had at my schools fundraisers: cool to look at and play with, but a traditional one is just as good.

Don't see the real benefit of this in a tablet (the bended area isnt big enough to fit a keyboard) but I'm excited to see what other applications these flexible displays can be used for.

We will definitely start to see more flexible displays in coming years. If I had to guess, I'd say at first companies like Samsung will make a flexible display version of everything. Then over time they will figure out where the technology is actually practical and narrow down what types of gadgets they use it on.

I can kind of see it working on a tablet, but, I don't know that it would really enhance anything. For things like watches I can see the benefits for sure since not all wrists are created equal.
