If you have an El Gato EyeHome you may want to hold off upgrading to 10.4.3 until El Gato release an upgrade for their EyeHome product, it is crashing out here constantly since I upgraded to .3. Finally though this will force El Gato to upgrade the EyeHome which IMHO has been in need of a firmware upgrade for ages now, how about an upgrade to some modern codecs El Gato? :)

I have filed bug reports with Apple and El Gato let the wait for the upgrade begin...

Same, I'm pretty pi$$ed. Log a support call with El Gato to force them to deal with this quickly. :)

Already did... They were kind enough to respond pretty quick with a temporary fix: Revent to eyeHome 1.5.2. It works... but I still don't like it.

Here's what I got from Elgato support:

"OS X 10.4.3 has an issue with EyeHome 1.6. Apple has been aware of this, but their fix was not implemented in the final 10.4.3 release.

It seems that EyeHome 1.5.2 still should work fine.

Erase the eyehome.prefpane associated with 1.6, in /Library/Preference Panes, and then install 1.5.2. Let me know if that regression works.

Yeah I've been unimpressed with El Gatos support of the EyeHome. It is a good product that could be great if they spent some time on it, say updating the codecs for 1?

thanks for the tip on 1.52. i have eyehome as well and of course it broke with the update.

are there any real drawbacks to using 1.52? oh wait, doesn't it NOT support mpeg 4? hmmmm

Was this intentional move from Apple?
Elgato's products don't really fit in Steve's grand vision of the home entrtainment.

I would expect Apple to test OS upgrades against most popular 3rd party products

I would tend to agree... But somehow I doubt that would be the case.
Either way, Elgato released an update to their software (1.7) which seems to work fine. All is well that ends well!!
