Has anyone noticed the 'price drop' advertised by Auctionworks?

They have a "brand new in the box" G4 867 for $1645. Do they know something we thought we knew?

Hmmm.

Well apple has to do something soon so it's got to happen some time maybe they just want to clear out early so they get all of the comps sold without a big loss.

speculations.....speculations.....speculations.....

a price drop can mean anything from Apple needing to make money due to slow sales to new hardware being fitted in....

By my calculations, it could be 2/21/02 befor you get this $1645 deal.

Unless otherwise indicated, this is a PRESALE auction. This item ships within 12 to 14 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER payment clears. This is done to avoid stocking items locally, therefore cutting operating costs and allowing us to pass savings on to you. Consistent with eBay’s presale policy, this item is guaranteed to ship within thirty days or your money will be returned in full. The twelve to fourteen business days includes payment and order processing time. Items that do NOT indicate a presale are shipped within three business days of cleared payment.

I don't see what is wrong with waiting till Feb 22, 2002 to get such a steal on a PowerMac. If you don't need it instantly why not go this way.
