Notifications - Facebook

Hello all, long time listener first time caller to the forums here!

I have been a mac user for a long time, and have been on ML since release. I recently decided to integrate facebook with my OS and have noticed an issue. It appears that my notifications are very slow to update, or more times than not, just doesnt update at all. I get notifications like crazy on the website but nothing hits my notifications in OSX.

Am I missing something? Is this a known bug? Or do I have an issue?
