I generally do a complete system re-install and upgrade to get rid of localizations I don't need, etc.twoodcc said:what all should i do besides calibrate the battery and repair permissions? anything i need to look out for?

i already have a laptop bookbag, that holds up to 15" laptop. i'm sure it will fit. but do i need a laptop sleeve also? seems a little too much for me, but i do want to baby this thing.
so far i'm loving it. if there's anything else i should know, just let me know.
i already transferred a lot of my files, so no reinstalling for me. i'm down to only 51 GB left on my harddrive, so i'll need ram and an external eventually.
i'll wait the 14 days at least before i buy ram for it, just in case. i can tell already that i need more ram though.
thanks
no, i couldn't afford it. and it creates more heat, takes more battery, i probably wouldn't notice a difference....i'm happy with the current one.Greenone said:You didn't get the hdd bto?

Well, when I said "generally" that refers to the 3 times I've actually purchased a system with OS XCmdrLaForge said:And how do you get all your files and settings on it?
