I won't be watching it.
Can't go even though I live near it and can't watch it because my connection is too slow.
Oh well. I'll catch up on it after the fact.

I will be anxiously watching it.
Was that not what you were wanting?
I will be watchig it on my Dual/GHz/DDR with Cable Modem over Quicktime. Depending on when it is maybe I can watch it live.

you could still 'watch' it at a live updated site. I am predicting MR
will do that, and if not MR, then some other website.

yeah MR always has live text updates on their special MacWorld version of the site.. which is a black page with white text, nothing else... I guess Arn does this to save bandwidth since so many people access the site during MacWorld.
I will sleep early and wake up at 4AM here in Tokyo to watch the webcast. Although I won't eb buying anytime soon, I won't let myself miss a MacWorld webcast!

I'm hoping that it will start after 4pm GMT or atleast not be finished before then. That way I'll be able to watch it live. If it's not MR will be the first place i'll surf to.

Connection too slow? How do you mean, you have something slower then 56k? You can get decent 5fps and sound using mpeg4 with 56k, and if you are on slower connection you shouldn't have problems getting only sound.

I'm watching it via the webcast but I wish I was there in person since it looks like it may be Apple's last MacWorld Expo.:(

What?? Why?

Well, first of all Apple says that they won't be doing the 'every hardware release at Macworld' thing and will be released things as soon as they are ready.
A few months later, Apple refuses to attend Boston, even though they were agreeing to it full time before IDG made the official announcement.
Then, a few weeks back, IDG annouces that there will be no Macworld Tokyo, as Apple had backed out, and the other major vendors had followed suit.
See a pattern here?
Macworlds are just plain expensive, and Apple can't even organize the things the way they want since IDG is incharge of that. Apple is most likely going to be doing AppleExpos so they don't have to pay for the big space they usually get and they can organize it the way they want, OR they will just have conferences so people can actually LEARN something.

Maybe its because of the Dog Food OS that we've standardized on at work (hint: Not Mac), or perhaps its our firewall configuration, but I've not ever had any success at getting a webcast to display more than a few frames (~0.01 fps), and even less sound, despite having a IP connection that's a few orders of magnitude "faster" than a 56K.
Since its such a PITA, I just resort to using a live update webpage to hear what's going on.

I've yet to have luck watching it as it happened, so I'll be here at MacRumors for the blow by blow.

Webcast on our campus T1, projected onto a screen in the lab. That's as close as I can get to being there. :)

I'll find the way to watch it live, I think. Visiting my Friends or something. But if it happens at night (here)... I'm not sure they'll like it. Patience is something you can never rely on.

Yep, way too slow, not even 56k, more like 26.4k (on a good day)
I tried the last keynote and I could barely get any sound or video, so I guess I'll just wait till it's over then.

I'll be watching the webcast, although I don't know how well it will work with dial up. I'll be in a hotel during the keynote.
If it doesn't work, I'll read the text updates.

How many webcast video streams does Apple usually have?
I always get kicked out. But maybe it's because I'm far away on the net from SF?
Oh, I suddenly have a beautiful idea! I should just be there in SF :D
It's like $400 round trip from Tokyo these days, I think.

Hopefully our local Apple corporate office or Apple Store will have a live feed again.

I'm on NTT's Flets ISDN (64K/digital line). I guess its just the bandwidth issue then?
I usually stay in the only area in which they don't provide me with any ADSL services in Matsumoto, Japan. Well, I'll get an office with 12M ADSL from next year in Toooookyo!!!!
