A middle-aged Sony friend of mine has told me that the first Apple PowerBook model (100?) was manufactured (and designed too maybe?) by Sony. And this story reminds me of the PowerBook 2400 which was designed and manufactured by IBM Japan.

Are there any other outsourced Apple machine in its history???
Just curious.

FYI: That tiny keybord-ed PowerBook 2400 was a hit only in Japan since our hands are smaller than American guys hands. I've had two.

Oh and I'm also interested in design outsourcings. Frog design and IDEO used to design for Apple, right?
