iTunes 11 needed for iOS 7?

Hello,

I was wondering is it possible to update to iOS 7 without upgrading itunes. I so hate iTunes 11 (the search is so crippled from the prior version). Is there any way around it?

The searches the same if you uncheck search entire library. From 11.0.4 it is super fast and smooth also. Only thing I miss is iTunes DJ :(
